
Greenhouse Gas Emissions
Description
Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are determined by the total ammount of fossil fuels and how much these fuels pollute. These numbers are given by the Total Primary Energy Demand and the GHG factor rate respectively.
The report fixes its GHG factors to the IEA’s values and adds in the emissions of any sectors that were omitted by the PTEC model. This methodology allows for a more direct comparison. Details are given in Appendix C of the report.
